We have launched an appeal to fund fishery maintenance & Fishing 4 Kids.
The target we are looking to raise to complete essential fishery maintenance is set at £20,000, the amount required to finance the complete setting up and establishment of all legal requirements & necessary equipment & training is £5,000, this is NOT a fortune and we are keen to complete all works that need doing.
Please visit our Fundraising page for futher information.
We are looking to recruit Junior Angler's aged 4 to 16 years of age, with a view to providing free coaching via Fishing 4 Kids, anybody interested in participating is welcome to come along.
We are also looking for Junior Match Angler's with a view to forming Junior teams to represent the club, please use the Contact Form to find out more info.
Royal Forest of Dean Angling Club would like to inform the Membership that the club is in no way connected with or affilliated to Pukka Squirrel Baits, they are a bait company that have used our facilities in the past, but they are in no way endorsed or recommended by the club.

Today (24/11/2017) the club took delivery of two lovely Mirror Carp in excess of 20lb in weight.
These wonderful specimens were bred by the famous VS Fisheries and are from a high quality strain.
They are an excellent example of the ongoing restocking plan the club has for it's waters by the fishery management team.
James Baynham was on hand to assist with the release of the fish into Steam Mills Lake.
The fishery management team is continuing it's work with lots of plans for our other waters, but as usual Members are required to assist with working parties.
More pictures of these beauties are in the Gallery.
